Welcome to The Feminist Toolbox!

Whether you are a blossoming feminist, student, skeptic, or just plain curious, I am glad you that you are here! As someone who once found themselves wondering what the heck feminism meant and why it is such a hot topic, I understand the misconceptions and confusion that often comes along with the term feminism. I can also relate to those who have a burning passion to address issues of sexism and inequality in their everyday lives but have absolutely no idea where to start. In fact, as I began to explore these issues I realized that there were so many people out there like me who sought to understand feminism and play a role in dealing with gender inequality issues.

Cue the creation of The Feminist Toolbox! The purpose of this blog is two-fold: to discuss feminism and global issues of gender inequality in an accessible way and to provide people with the knowledge and tools to deal with these issues in their everyday lives to the best of my ability.

As a first time blogger, political science graduate student, and aspiring human rights activist, I am enthusiastic about beginning this journey with you all. I am sure that this blog will be a learning experience for both myself and my readers as we ponder and tackle these issues.
